Hello, I’m Isaak and I run STUDIO PUSHPLAY. Nice to meet you!
I love games. So much so that I originally set out to make them.
Throughout my years at uni I was involved with half a dozen student game projects, before finally finding my calling in Transmedia and Alternate Reality Games.
Eventually I would start my own company with two like-minded people, and design the game ECHO for the Groninger Museum.
When a player interacts with a game, suspends their disbelief and is completely immersed in the experience, that’s magic I feel.
Games have been doing this for millennia now. Videogames on the other hand have only been around for a few decades, but in that time they’ve become an indispensable part of our culture.
They’re now a hundred billion dollar industry, a powerful storytelling tool, a creative outlet for voices often left unheard and so, so much more.

At the same time I love film, a much older and more evolved medium. For most of my professional career I’ve been involved with film production in one shape or form.
I’ve written, directed, edited, produced, animated, created special effects and even acted.
I’ve learned that film can draw someone in the way games can: when direction, edit, script and sound all work in unison it can create an experience that’s more than the sum of its parts.
It can create--there it is again--a certain magic.
I founded STUDIO PUSHPLAY with the express purpose of bringing these two worlds together, and create Video for Games.
Since 2016 I’ve been producing trailers, film, animation as well as an unannounced non-fiction project.
More on the latter when it’s further along ;)
For now I direct you to PUSHPLAY’s Twitter and Work page. If you’d like to discuss business, or just say hi,
See you soon,
Isaak
